Changes

A lot has happened since my last post. I had TCU being the best team in the Nation. Obviously, they are not, because they lost to Boise State. So, who is the best team in the Nation? Alabama won the BCS game, but Colt McCoy was taken out 2 minutes into the game. A TRUE freshman tried to lead the Longhorns to a victory. They were down by 22 points at the half and made a come back to get within 3 points. I still don't believe Alabama is the best team in the Nation. Sure wish Texas got a legit opportunity at beating Alabama.

Next, it looks like our favorite coach, Pete Carroll is leaving USC to coach the Seattle Seahawks. It seems like we are losing all the great college coaches. We aren't even sure if Urban Meyer will be back next year to coach the Florida Gators. Mike Leech was fired for allegations of throwing a player with a concussion into a dark closet, but it seems like Leech was set up all along. Weis was fired and headed to the NFL. What a sigh of relief from the Irish. Now, they have Brian Kelly fighting for them! As hard as it was to see Cincinnati without their coach, Kelly belongs at Notre Dame. It's a Irish-Catholic boy from Boston. The University of Notre Dame is his dream job, and Kelly is Notre Dame's dream coach. The great coach, Turner Gill was finally hired into a Division 1 program. He will be making some big changes at KU.

Who's going to be #1 in 2011? This is how the year ended.

1. Albama
2.Texas
3. Florida
4. Boise State
5. Ohio State

Best Team in College Football

As the season starts to wind down, it's obvious that the best teams are Florida, Texas, Alabama, and.... TCU! At this point, I'm doubting Florida and Texas. Florida has had a couple of close games that shouldn't have been close. Texas hasn't played well all season, but has suddenly looked good in the last couple games. I finally had the chance to watch some more Alabama football. They have a great run game, and good D, but the quarterback McElroy isn't going to be trustworthy in those tough games. That's why I am going to say TCU is the best team in the nation at this point. After seeing them blow away the ranked teams, there is no doubt they are the best. They have the best defense in the nation, the special teams are great, and the offense is good. So, will TCU get the chance to show their stuff? I highly doubt it, unless Texas, Florida, or Alabama fall to someone. It's possible, but don't count on it. So, what about Boise State? I know those obsessive BSU fans think that the Broncos get screwed year after year, but Boise State is beating up on no one. They beat Oregon, who will most likely go on to play in the Rose Bowl, but Oregon lost to Stanford. So, no one can say that was a legitimate enough win for Boise to play against Texas, Florida, Alabama or TCU in a big game. They definitely deserve a bowl game, but not with those top 4 big dogs. Hopefully, TCU will get a chance to show the Nation that they are the best. Every week, they keep getting more and more believers...Let's give them a chance.

Bill Bradley

"And then you arrive at an age when you relish life in a new and different way. The sense of lost youth is gone-the challenge now is to make the most of the time left to you- and you can more deeply appreciate the role the game has played in your life. It has become more than just memories; it has become almost an essential part of you."-Bill Bradley, Values Of The Game
